Xian MA600 (MA for Xinzhou, "Modern Ark") is an improved version of Xian MA60, manufactured by Xi'an Aircraft to become China Airlines Industrial companies under the Industrial Group Corporation (AVIC).
Xi'an Aircraft Industry Corporation completed its first MA600 turboprop on June 29, 2008. The MA600 completed its maiden flight on October 10, 2008. Compared to the MA60, the aircraft features new avionics, an improved cabin and higher-thrust engines.
Powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127J turboprop engine with seating for 60 passengers.
As of October 2018, over 300 have been ordered.
MA600 manufacturer Xi'an Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd. pointed out that the successful test flight is an "important milestone" in the production of China's domestic aircraft. General Manager Meng Xiangkai announced that the aircraft will obtain the airworthiness certificate and put into use in the second half of 2009, and the first batch will be delivered to the Civil Aviation University of China in Sichuan Province.
Series deliveries will begin in 2010.
Aircraft will be equipped with Becker Communications "DVCS6100 Digital Intercom System, Cabin Intercom and Passenger Address". The cockpit is equipped with a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics kit.
Multiple operators in Asia and Africa ordered the 310 (March 2018).
