The story of KD Tun Abdul Razak

In 2002, Malaysia ordered two Scorpene class ships worth 1. 4 billion (approximately RM4.78 billion). Two vessels, Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tun Abdul Razak, were commissioned by the Royal Malaysian Navy in 2009.

The Scorpene class submarines are available in four subtypes: the conventional CM-2000 diesel-electric version, the AM-2000 Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) variant, the scaled-down CA-2000 coastal submarine and the scaled-up Brazilian Navy's S-BR, There is no AIP.
