Remington-Beals 3rd Model Story

The Remington-Beals 3rd Model Pocket Revolver is the third incarnation and evolution of the original Remington-Beals pistol designed by Fordyce Beal. It is larger in size than its predecessor, with an increased barrel length from 3 inches to 4 inches. It retains the "sine" trigger of the 2nd model, but has a sleeker hammer design. The frame is also slightly lengthened below the barrel assembly for added strength, and various grips can be attached to the grip.

The five-shot cylinder shared by the 1st and 2nd models is another appreciated physical quality, with the .31 caliber and primer-based shooting action.

These guns were from the Remington Armory in Ilion, New York, and were used in the American Civil War (1861-1865).
