History of the XADO Snipex Alligator

The Snipex "Alligator" is a robust Anti-Material Rifle (AMR) developed by Ukrainian company XADO-Holding. It serves a crucial role in modern warfare alongside other military products. The AMR category includes powerful weapons that use large projectiles, such as the Soviet 14.5x114mm shells. These rifles are used to counter enemy snipers, lightly armored vehicles, and disable components of heavier vehicles, offering significant impact within their range.

Deployed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since March 2021, the "Alligator" gained prominence during the conflict with Russia starting in February 2022. It stands alongside the "T-Rex," another XADO "Snipex" solution. The rifle's design focuses on reducing recoil through mechanisms like a muzzle brake, padded stock, and recoil isolator. It sports a traditional setup, a central carry handle, a foldable bipod, and an adjustable support leg for stability during firing. The inclusion of a lengthy rail accommodates optics for long-range precision.

Weighing 25kg and measuring 2,000mm in length, the "Alligator" boasts an effective range of up to 2,000 yards and a maximum range of 7,000 yards with specific projectiles. It can penetrate armor up to 10mm thickness. Overall, the rifle's design and features cater to its role as a potent and versatile tool on the battlefield.
