Using percussion-based firing principles, the single-shot J. F. Brown Rifle One. 45 caliber cartridge from 32.5 inch barrel. The barrel itself is octagonal, with a rounded muzzle protruding from the front end of the design. The telescopic sight is about as long as the barrel system itself and is supported on the top of the gun by front and rear brackets. The fire system is fully contained, usually along the right side of the gun body, and is fastened to a metal plate. The trigger set features a traditional pull trigger and a refined finger ring trigger guard for precise operation. The grip is traditional rifle style, but there is no foregrip under the barrel.

The butt has ornate details on the sides and is capped with a metal cap.
