Agram's 2000 Years History

The origin of the Croatian Agram 2000 comes from the Italian submachine gun series Beretta M12. Designed for the popular 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge, which entered service with the Italian army in 1959 and are still used by other armed forces worldwide.

Like the M12 before it, the Agram 2000 is loaded from Parabellum cartridges and uses an optional 15-, 22- or 32-round curved detachable magazine. The Agram 2000 has been used by both conventional and special forces throughout the Kosovo conflict and has proven to be a popular thanks to its high ammunition-count flexibility, compact size, fully automatic fire and silencer usage considerations civilian and black market weapons.

The Agram 2000 series is made locally in Croatia, although until today it is believed that only a few were made, making this smg very rare outside of Croatia or the surrounding area.

The most notable design feature of the Agram 2000 is its thumb hole fore grip, which ensures a secure two-handed grip. The pistol grip is very ergonomic, with indents on each finger. The curved trigger unit is housed in a thick trigger ring.

The pull handle is located on the left side of the receiver above the magazine. Just above the trigger system is a fire selector lever that enables safe, single-shot and fully automatic fire modes. The barrel shroud on the front end is perforated for heat dissipation and has a front iron sight. The rear view is installed by flipping, and the range is up to 150 meters.

Its rate of fire is 800 rounds per minute. The barrel protrudes only slightly from this arrangement, and if desired, a silencer above the muzzle can be installed. Weapon systems are primarily made of molded plastic and stamped metal. Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be any regulation for any type of hip.

The Agram 2000 is compact, measuring just 13.8 inches without the built-in muffler.

The only model in the Agram 2000 series worth mentioning is the Agram 2002, which does not have the obvious thumb hole foregrip attachment, which is the former.
